MEET CHRIS

A Dynamic Leader Making a Difference in Our Community

Christopher (Chris) Clark grew up in Sacramento and attended John F. Kennedy High School, and Consumes River College. He and his wife Jean have been residents of Rancho Cordova for 9 years. Chris currently serves as Vice President on the Board of Education for the Folsom Cordova Unified School District.

Previously, while serving in the United States Air Force, Chris received his degree in Business Administration at Park College in Missouri.  After returning home, he began his employment with the City of Stockton working disadvantaged youth in the City's Conway area.  In October 2018, Chris completed his Masters in Governance program through the California School Board Association. 

 

In 1993, Chris began serving his community as a member of the Laguna Sunrise Rotary Club in Elk Grove CA. In 2000, he became their club President and one of the youngest African American Presidents in the Country. He was again elected to his second term as President in 2010. In 2014, he was elected for his third term as President and became a Paul Harris Fellow of the Rotary Club of Rancho Cordova Sunrise. Since becoming a Rotarian, Chris has served on various committees including International Services, Youth Services, Club Services, and Community Service.  

 

Chris has been appointed to several City and County Board Positions including serving as the Chairman of the South Sacramento Citizens Planning Advisory Council and the Sacramento Neighborhood Accountability Board, City of Sacramento Parks & Recreation Advisory Council, and The Medowview Neighborhood Betterment Committee.  He is a graduate of Leadership Rancho Cordova Class VII, and is very active in the Rancho Cordova Business Community by previously serving on the Board of Directors for the Rancho Cordova Chamber of Commerce, and serving as the President of the Cordova High PTSA for two years.  Chris additonally takes pride in his occupation as the Resource Development Manager and Volunteer Coordinator for the Folsom Cordova Community Partnership.
